Xenobia Springs Park - Palmyra, WI
The Scuppernong River winds along the banks of Xenobia Springs Park in Palmyra. There are two springs here that spill into the river as it flows by: Xenobia Springs and Deep Rock Springs. Although both springs figure prominently in the history of the Village of Palmyra, the park was just made official in 2018.
For many years it was part of a residential property. When it came available for purchase, the Palmyra Historical Society was able to purchase it, and then donated it to the village with the stipulation that it be used for a public park. Signage was added, along with some park benches and picnic tables as well.
If you're looking for a quiet spot to relax, maybe have a picnic, do some bird watching, or read a book, this is a lovely, scenic spot.
Parking: Street parking - (I parked across the road at the Lions Park on the corner)
Hours: Open daily, 6am - 10pm
Dogs are permitted, on-leash, and must be cleaned up after.
Location: 300 Mill Road, Palmyra, WI (Jefferson County)
