McCarty Park - West Allis, WI

McCarty Park is a prime neighborhood park in West Allis. There are 52 acres of tree-lined paths, walking trails, a lagoon for fishing, a tiny tot play lot, a pavilion for rental, and a wide array of sports fields are represented - basketball, baseball, swimming, sledding, and volleyball.  It's a family friendly, picnic-worthy place to spend an afternoon.  It's also a nice urban birding spot. I've spotted Great Blue Herons, Flycatchers and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers here among many other Wisconsin native birds.
