Cliffside Park - Caledonia, WI 

At first glance, Cliffside Park appears to be your quintessential sports and picnic spot.  But once on the hiking trails, the beauty of the surrounding woodlands, hilly paths, and roaring Fox River envelop you.  The day we were there it was quite muddy, due to lots of spring rain, and the rivers roar was strong and loud.  Wildlife is abundant - migrating birds, deer, cute little chipmunks; I was surprised by the vibrant blue of an Indigo Bunting as it flew past me into the budding trees (alas, I wasn't quick enough to capture a photo). 

Cliffside is also a popular local camping destination, with 92 reservable campsites, and 3 large group campsites.  A bike trail is nearby, along with baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court, and two reservable picnic shelters.
