Mary Knoll Park - Brookfield, WI
I often drove past Mary Knoll on my way home from work. A variation on my route from Brookfield to West Allis. Finally, curiosity got the best of me and I went prepared one evening and walked the park. It's not big, but great enough for a nice walk, with paved paths, wooded trails, some prairie grasses, lots and lots of trees, and a dog park of sorts. You can see it just south of I-94. But the bulk of the park is out of sight of passing cars.
Lots of birds to be seen here. Deer, and other wildlife, too. I've seen an owl, some hawks, and plenty of other avian species. It's got a small playground, and some tennis courts, too. Something for everyone. Stop by for a walk, bring your binoculars, or just bring your lunch and enjoy a beautiful outdoor space and some fresh air. This park has quickly become one of my favorites. You might just agree.
Location: 615 S. Sunnyslope Road / (Sunnyslope Road and I-94) Brookfield, WI (Waukesha County)
