Paradise Springs Nature Trail - Eagle, WI
Another beautiful trail in the Southern Kettle Moraine Unit. We made our way there in early spring, 2014. We were treated to the sights and sounds of migrating birds along the trail winding its way around the large, natural spring. At one end are the remains of a fieldstone spring house built in the early 1930's. At one time there was a hotel and a pavilion along this property as well. Those have since disappeared, and nature has taken back its home.
There is a paved trail that travels along the catch-and-release trout pond (artificial lures only). It loops back to the parking lot. The foot path on the opposite side of the pond is a slightly hilly, muddy trek. But a short one. The trail is scenic in all seasons. A truly peaceful spot to spend an afternoon.
There is a reservable picnic shelter and vault toilets at the trailhead. New signage has been added along the trail detailing the history of the springs, and restoration efforts.
Pets are not allowed on the Paradise Springs Nature Trail.
Hunting is prohibited.
Location: W374 S8640 County Rd N., Eagle, WI (Waukesha County)
