big foot beach state park - lake geneva, wi
You may know Lake Geneva for it's weekend tourist vibe, and it's summer beach vibe, but there's also a great Wisconsin State Park here. Big Foot Beach State Park is over 270 acres of green space adjacent to the shoreline of Lake Geneva. The park has over 5 miles of hiking trails, most of them pretty easy going. It's a great picnic spot, with great bird watching, fishing, and camping as well.
There are a total of 100 camping spots, including 34 with electrical pedestals. Restrooms and shower buildings are available on site.
There is fishing available at Ceylon Lagoon onsite. There is a fishing dock located at the lagoon. Public boat, canoe and kayak launches are available in downtown Lake Geneva. Currently the beach area at the park itself is closed due to safety reasons.
Winter sports enjoyed at the park include cross country skiing and snowshoeing, along with hiking. Winter camping is NOT available at Big Foot Beach State Park.
A vehicle admission state park sticker is required. Day hours are: 6am to 11pm, year-round.
Location: 1550 S. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Geneva (Walworth County)
