Homestead Hollow County Park - Germantown, WI
Another gem in Washington County, Homestead Hollow is 105 acres of gorgeous, and it has plenty to offer. In addition to great picnic spots, a children's playground, and peaceful views, there is plenty of trail hiking, good birding, winter sports offerings such as cross country skiing, ice skating, and sledding.
Other sport offerings include fishing, horseshoes, basketball, soccer fields, and sand volleyball courts (bring your own net and volleyball). There are some nice and easy paved walking trails, as well as some hillier ones through the woods. Wooded trails can be quite muddy, so good hiking shoes or mud boots are helpful.
Once an old farmstead, the old red barns have been converted into four reservable shelters. Got a family picnic coming up? This would be a great spot for it. There's a dog park as well - Homestead Howl, which includes separate areas for both large and smaller dogs.
Fees: Washington County Parks Pass required.
Hours: Open daily, 6am - 10pm.
Location: N120 W19809 Fresitadt Road, Germantown, WI (Washington County)
