Boerner Botanical Gardens - Hales Corners, WI 

Boerner Botanical Gardens are beautiful all year long, but in summertime, they truly shine.  Flowers are in bloom, bees buzz,  birds sing from the trees, the fountains and waterfalls echo in your ear.  There are sculptural works of art scattered throughout the grounds (including a giant, colorful, butterfly). Grab a bench and just take it all in.  What a great place to quietly revel in surrounding beauty.  If your itching to learn more about flowers and gardening, check out their educational programs.  Special events are hosted throughout the year, and the facilities are available for rental as well.  Admission is free to Milwaukee County residents on the FIRST Tuesday of every month, with a valid ID.  Such a deal!
