Brown Deer Park - Brown Deer, WI
Brown Deer park is 360 acres of gorgeous green, featuring beautiful ponds, hiking trails, biking trails, and family friendly picnic atmosphere. In warmer seasons, you can enjoy biking, swimming, disc golf, and an 18-hole golf course in the park. The Oak Leaf Trail travels along the west edge of the park boundary . The lagoon is stocked with panfish, trout, and largemouth bass, for those who enjoy dropping a line and doing some fishing. State fishing rules apply.
Other amenities include a boathouse, now featuring a perennial pollinator garden, baseball diamond, sand volleyball, soccer fields, and a children's play area. If you're a birdwatcher, you'll enjoy a wide variety of birdsong throughout the park, especially during migration and nesting season. Keep an eye out for Great Blue Herons fishing for their supper in the pond. Picnic areas are available for rent.
In winter months, enthusiasts can enjoy cross-country skiing in the park, as well as a sledding hill.
