endicott park - brookfield, wi
From Calhoun Road, it's clear that Endicott Park is a sports park. The 48-acre park includes facilities for baseball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, ice skating (in winter), a general playfield, and a kids playground. But beyond all the sports spaces, is a walking trail through woodlands and wetlands. Including a handsome boardwalk built across the scenic wetlands.
The trails connect with the Greenway Trail System (Deer Creek and Civic Center Trails). Trails are multi-purpose for bicyclists, walkers, and runners alike. Though the trails are just south, and parallel to I-94, the scenery is worth the effort. I expect the walking trails across the wetlands are great for bird-watching come spring, though the mosquitoes won't be far behind.
If you're looking for an easy, short and scenic walk, the trails here at Endicott Park will fit the bill.
