Lakeshore Nature Preserve - Madison, WI

If you're going to spend time in a nature preserve in Madison, this is a great place to go.  Surrounded by Lake Mendota, it's big (300 acres), with lots of different areas - picnic spots along the perimeter of Lake, lots of wooded trails, marshland trails, lots of wildlife and birding. A local favorite, it is as diverse as the city it resides in, there's something there for everyone.
