H.C. Koepp Village Park - Pewaukee, WI
H.C. Koepp Village Park is a 3-acre park in the heart of the Village of Pewaukee, along the Pewaukee River. If you're looking for a spot with a peaceful view, have a seat on the park bench overlooking the river, and listen to the call of returning red-wing blackbirds as they perch on the cattails rising up from the water. Although the view of nearby buildings rise up beyond the river, they'll be obscured soon enough, as the trees leaf out in green come spring. Either way it's a lovely spot to relax and gather your thoughts, and do some bird watching, too.
The park features a new covered pedestrian bridge, built in memory of local resident Meredith (Penny) Van Horn, and is known as Penny's Bridge. The construction of the new bridge was a community effort, and connects Koepp Park to the Pewaukee downtown area. In recent years the Friends of the Parks of Pewaukee group have helped to decorate the bridge during the holiday season.
A native plant garden was installed by local Girl Scout Troop 4592. The plants were chosen specifically for the benefits they provide to the Pewaukee River Watershed.

Parking: parking lot available
Location: 201 Oakton Avenue, Pewaukee, WI (Waukesha County)
