Frame Park - Waukesha, WI
Frame Park is a Waukesha gem that runs along the Fox River in the downtown Waukesha area. Located between Moreland Boulevard and Barstow Street, the park has a great selection of amenities for all to enjoy. Features include two children's playgrounds, riverwalk corridor, bike trail, river access, recreation center, community center, picnic area and shelter, and amphitheater.
One of my favorite highlights was the formal gardens. Located in a mostly central location, the gardens, in bloom, are a sight to see. And the proximity to the Fox River just adds to the beauty. It's a great spot to enjoy at the height of the growing season.
If you're into fishing, there are floating piers available. Baseball diamonds and volleyball courts round out athletic offerings. The park also features a Born Learning Trail, which incorporates colorful signs along a walking trail with activities for adults to engage their children in. Adding a bit of learning fun to a trip to the park and playground.
Hours: Open Daily 6am - 10pm
Fees: Admission is Free
Pets: Dogs are allowed, on-leash
Location: 1200 Frame Park Drive, Waukesha, WI ( Waukesha County)
