Grobschmidt Park - Milwaukee, WI
Grobschmidt Park is a bit of wilderness that borders a residential community in Greenfield. The trail in is nondescript, just a grass path to an entrance a short distance from the sidewalk. Once inside, however, you are enveloped by trees, and a view of Mud Lake, which is host to migrating birds and waterfowl. There is a simple gravel trail that follows around the lake.
For a bit more adventure, there are additional trails that head past sedge meadow and into the woods. Some of the trail can be a bit steep, but the views of the marshlands within are worth it. And, really, they aren't that steep. But muddy, at least on the day I was there.
To note: there is street parking only, and there are no amenities on site.
Location: 3751 W. College Ave., Greenfield, WI (Milwaukee County)
