Alt Bauer Park - Germantown, WI
My first visit to Alt Bauer park, located in Germantown, was in the early days of October as the leaves were just beginning to change color. It is a 21-acre neighborhood park with several family-friendly features. Pathways both paved and gravel make for a scenic place to wander for an afternoon. Other amenities include picnic tables, a children's playground, basketball court, and three tennis courts.
The walking trails travel the perimeter of the park, and include woodland and native meadow areas, and are very bird friendly. A red wooden bridge crosses over the Jefferson Ditch (a storm drainage ditch), which runs through the park. Park benches are scattered throughout along the walking trails, perfect for a rest, with views of the scenery.
Dogs are permitted in the park, on-leash, and must be cleaned up after.
Hours: Daily 6am - 9pm
Fees: None
Parking: small lot available off of Wagon Trail entrance.
Location: W165 N10749 Wagon Trail, Germantown, WI (Washington County)
