rivers edge park - menomonee falls, wi
I was looking for a quiet, easy nature walk in the Menomonee Falls area. Rivers Edge Park was a lucky find. This 32-acre park is nestled inbetween the Menomonee River and the North Hills Country Club golf course.
The crushed limestone trail encircles the large pond, with lots of trees and benches along the path for shade and respite. The trail around the pond is under a mile. It's a quiet spot, good for birding (Catbirds singing) or just enjoying a summer breeze under shade of a large tree. Frogs in the pond are plentiful and join in chorus as you pass by. It's a quiet spot to do a little fishing as well.
Hours: Open daily, 6am - 9pm
Dogs permitted, on-leash.
Location: East of Lilly Road and south of Fond du Lac Avenue off Parkview Drive (Waukesha County)
