Glacier Hills County Park - Hubertus, WI
Glacier Hills County Park feels more like a Wisconsin State Park. The park, which was originally developed as St. Amelian's Orphanage Youth Camp, was christened Glacier Hills County Park in 1976. Bordering Friess Lake, the vast hills and trails encompass 140 acres of glacial formations, forest, wetlands, and a beach for swimming.
There are reservable cabins, a chapel, and a main building for rent. Plenty of sporting opportunities have a home here, include fishing, basketball, volleyball, swimming, cross-country skiing, sledding, as well as a playground for the tiny tots. There is an abundance of picnic spots, the hiking is lovely (the hills are steep), the birds are plentiful (over 120 species spotted here), and the scenery is sure to please.
The park is open year-round, Daily Hours: 6am - 10pm.
Fees: Annual or Daily Park Pass Required
Location: 1664 Friess Lake Road, Hubertus, WI (Washington County)
