lincoln park - glendale, wi
Lincoln Park, located on Milwaukee's north side along the Milwaukee River, is 312 acres of multi-use recreation space. Here you will find nature trails, including connections to the Oak Leaf Trail. There are multiple soccer fields, a baseball field, a 9-hole golf course, and, in summer, swimming at the Schulz Aquatic Center. There is also a kayak/canoe launch into the Milwaukee River along the park at 5000 N. Milwaukee River Parkway.
Trails along the tree-lined river banks offer great bird watching. Great Blue Herons, and even American Eagles have been spotted flying over the river here.
The Friends of Lincoln Park host events throughout the year at the park. Visit their website and Facebook page for more details.
Location: 1301 W. Hampton Avenue, Glendale, WI (Milwaukee County)
