Grasslyn Nature Preserve - Mequon, WI

Just minutes from Trinity Creek Wetland Habitat, Grasslyn Nature Preserve may be smaller in stature, but it is just as much a treasure.
Nestled in a residential area, the 19 acres that make up Grasslyn Nature Preserve are a respite from the hectic world we live in.  Featuring both woodland and prairie, the trails traverse a small boardwalk, and meander around the prairie and through the woods.  Birds sing from the treetops, and nesting boxes are home to Swallows.  

There are a few comfy benches that encourage you to sit a spell, revel in the sounds around you, and just, well, relax.  We were there late in the afternoon. The sun was golden, the birds were singing, and the bench was quite comfy indeed.

There are no amenities on-site. Limited parking on the roadside.
​Hunting is prohibited.
