Riverside Park - West Bend, WI
Riverside Park is over 70-acres of green in the heart of the City of West Bend. The park found its beginnings back in 1988, when the city removed a dam and drained a man made lake in order to create the park, and open up the space to let the Milwaukee River flow freely through it.
This scenic park has so much to offer. Wild space including the river, prairie, and wooded areas. A mix of walking trails, paved and gravel. Riverside walking and biking trails pass over four bridges that cross over the river as it winds through. Art sculptures are positioned along the trails through the park, as well.
Other offerings include: two children's play structures, a youth baseball diamond, two basketball courts, three tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, one football field, one soccer field, picnic spots, fishing along the river, canoeing and kayaking on the river, and an 18-hole disc golf course. A large park pavilion is available for rental.
There are three park entrances, with parking lots at: Kilbourn Avenue, S. Indiana Avenue, and N. River road.
Trailheads for the Eisenbahn State Trail are located at: N. River Road, just south of the river; and the parking lot on S. Indiana Avenue.
The park connects to the Riverfront Parkway 3.1 mile walking trail that follows the path of the Milwaukee River through West Bend.
Dogs are permitted on-leash, and must be cleaned up after.
Hours: Daily 6am - 11pm
Location: 700 Kilbourn Avenue, West Bend, WI (Washington County)
