Achievements
Sometimes we forget to give ourselves credit for the achievements we've made. It's good to take a look back and see how far we've come. To see, hopefully, that we have made a contribution to this world, and, felt a sense of accomplishment in our own lives. Here are a few things I'm proud of.
Original images are now on permanent display at the
UW Credit Union in Elm Grove. A few months ago I was contacted by the interior designer for the Credit Union. She was hoping to use a couple images taken at Elm Grove Village Park. I was honored to be considered. They chose one winter scene, and one summer scene. Both represent the beauty of the park. If you haven't taken a walk at Elm Grove Village Park, I encourage you to visit. It's a beauty! Check out the profile of Elm Grove Village Park here on the website for more details. |
Back To Nature
A feature article about The Park Next Door appeared in the June, 2022 issue of MKE Lifestyle Magazine. I was honored to be asked by reporter Rick Romano to be interviewed for one of his magazine features. Rick has been a staple on the local journalism scene for many years, and is well respected in the field. If he asks for an interview, say Yes! I appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about The Park Next Door, and what the website offers to nature lovers across Wisconsin, and anyone interested in visiting Wisconsin as well. We have so much beauty here in the state, it would be a shame not to share it. Nature is for Everyone, after all. |
The Gift Of Nature
An original blog post became a subsequent collaboration with local photo journalist, author, and nature activist Eddee Daniel. Eddee approached me with an invitation to be a guest contributor on A Wealth of Nature's blog, The Natural Realm. He contributed several of his own photos of each of the natural spaces featured. If you haven't visited his blog and website, I encourage you to check it out at www.awealthofnature.org. Eddee is also the author of several books on local nature spaces, most recently, a beautiful book on The Milwaukee River Greenway. |
The Nature Of Things / Branching Out
Forest Exploration Center is one of Milwaukee and Wauwatosa's natural gems. I try to take a walk through the forest in each season, more often if I can. I was honored to be included in a small feature alongside the Forest Exploration Center in the summer 2022 issue of TosaConnection. You may recognize a familiar byline: Rick Romano. If you haven't experienced the Forest Exploration Center trails yet, I encourage you to do so. You can check out their profile here on the website for a preview. But there's nothing like being there in person. You should go. |
