Lapham Peak State Park - Delafield, WI
The Kettle Moraine State Forest is comprised of five separate units. The Lapham Peak Unit encompasses 1,000 acres of the forest.
The park includes three picnic areas, 25 miles of dirt and accessible paved nature trails, and a butterfly garden. Activities include hiking, bird watching, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, backpacking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
Visit the Hausmann Nature Center for exhibits, events, and the Children's Interactive Area. A truly popular feature at Lapham Peak is the wooden observation tower that stands 45 feet high and offers spectacular views.
Camping: There is One backpacking campsite open year-round in the forest, along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. A reservation is required for this primitive site.
The park is open year-round, Daily 6am-9pm.
