EASY WAYS TO SUPPORT THE PARK NEXT DOOR
One of my goals when I started the website for The Park Next Door, was to create a website with valuable content uncluttered by ads.
I know that it's standard practice these days, but there is something so frustrating about visiting a site with content you really want to dig into, and have it so cluttered with ads that it is unreadable. Unenjoyable. A real turn-off. Eight years in, I have managed to avoid subscribing to ad content to support the site. The site was, and is, a labor of love. But creating content takes work, time, and money. It's just a fact. I want access to the content on this site to be free to all. And I intend to keep it that way. That said, there are ways you can support The Park Next Door, so that I can continue to explore and share the bounty of beauty in our lovely state. Thank you for your continued support! |
Get yourself a little something. Many of the images from The Park Next Door are available to purchase as prints, notebooks, phone cases, holiday ornaments, and more at my FineArtAmerica site. You can get a gift for someone, or yourself, and support the website at the same time. Check out the Art For Your Walls feature page, or visit the art site directly.

Sign up for the website email list. I generally send out one email per month. Occasionally, if there is something special to share, I may send another, or send it a little earlier than usual if content warrants it. I know how overwhelming a full inbox can be. Sign up here.
Feel free to forward/share the monthly emails with like-minded friends and nature enthusiasts. And remember, if you do subscribe, to open the emails. If they don't show as open, eventually the service suspends the email address. |
Share a favorite feature, blog, or location listing. If a specific feature page, blog, or location tickles your fancy, please share it with friends, or on your social media feed. Every little bit of exposure helps.
Follow The Park Next Door on Instagram for updates on everyday explorations and happenings. @theparknextdoor |
Share your discoveries. If you've visited a local park or preserve that isn't yet on the website, let me know. I'd love the opportunity to check it out, and share it, too.

Visit The Park Next Door YouTube channel. There you will find an ever-growing playlist of nature videos from local parks and preserves. Find the playlist here. Full disclosure: I have other videos on the site as well. Under separate playlists.
