Hoyt Park - Wauwatosa, WI
If you live in the Wauwatosa area, no doubt you are familiar with Hoyt Park. Traversing the Menomonee River Parkway, it's a popular park for walking, running , sports, and picnics. The Hoyt Park Pool and the Landing at Hoyt Park are summer day destinations for local residents for sure.
But beyond that, beyond the iconic bridge at its entrance, you will find nature trails that follow the river as it flows along the park. You will hear birdsong from the treetops, as well as music from the artists performing at the beer garden on summer evenings. A bike trail winds its way through the park, and the bridge itself has a wonderful view of the river.
There are soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, a reservable picnic area, a tot playground, and the park links up with the Oak Leaf Trail and the Forked Aster Hiking Trail. There is parking in a designated lot, as well as along the street. Restrooms are available on site as well.
Location: 1800 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa, WI (Milwaukee County)
