Harrington Beach State Park - Belgium, WI
I love this park. I'd been there before, but it had been a long time. My first time back was on my own. I spent hours and hours hiking the trails, hanging out by Puckett's Pond, making my way through a wooded old swampland, past the quarry, and to the beach. So many different types of terrain. There's a small seasonal waterfall along the quarry. You can even walk along it as the surface is pretty flat. Lots of birds, deer, butterflies, turkeys. There's a prairie trail, too. I've been back several times since. Always see something beautiful. It's a popular place for weekend campers, picnics, fishing, and lots of hiking. They even have a trolley service on the weekends during the summer in case you run a bit long at one spot and need to catch up. Get a State Park annual sticker. Once you've been there, you'll want to go back.
